Episode 10 - The Robinson Farmhouse

November 11, 2015

The Robinson Farmhouse was an outdated simple farmhouse that needed a fresh look. Our clients gave Joanna quite the challenge because neither were fans of the color white, nor on board with the “farmhouse look” in Chip and Joanna’s new home. Thankfully Joanna was up for the challenge, and worked hard to create a home both her clients would love.

Joanna opened up all the walls because her clients wanted a bigger space for their family. She added cedar beams to warm up the space and make it feel more inviting. Fresh white cabinets were installed with darker countertops and a white backsplash to create a simple and timeless look. Joanna chose a light grey for the exterior with white accents and a fun red door to add a pop of color. She added railing to highlight the front porch in addition to the landscape and window boxes. In the end, the clients turned into fans of Jo’s style and were more than pleased with the result!

What is the name of the interior paint? I've been looking for a light gray-green color for my house, and that color looked perfect! Thanks!

How did you hang the pictures over the fireplace? How did you layer them?
