Episode 05 - The 15th Street Story

November 11, 2015

This renovation was unique because our carpenter Clint and his wife Kelly were our clients! Clint makes Magnolia Farms furniture and wanted to purchase and renovate a new home close to his carpentry shop, Harp Design Co. The house they chose was quite the fixer-upper. When we walked into the house for the first time we could tell the house had a rough history, but we wanted to bring new life into the space. It had been abandoned for several years and was filled with trash, dilapidated floors and walls, and even rats. Clint and Kelly wanted to see this fixer upper restored in hopes of seeing the whole neighborhood come back to life. Clint contributed several pieces to the house, including the door, stairs and kitchen island, and couldn’t wait to see it all come together in the end. Their style is little more eclectic, so we brought in some color, especially in the living room. We tried to preserve the home as much as we could and decided to refinish the existing floors and staircase in the 15th Street Story.

it looks like shadowing from the light fixture to me; not roller stroke marks.

I would love to see this episode. I saw a clip from it during a repeat of the first clip show. It says season 1, episode 5, but when I look up that episode it's a completely different couple. Where can I find this episode? Thanks!

I would really love to know the brand and color of the house on the exterior. We are looking to paint our house and I think that color would look amazing with the red brick accent we have.
