What is Silobration?

Silobration is an annual weekend festival at the Silos in Waco, Texas featuring daytime shopping and a nighttime concert. This year, on October 12-14, we're hosting a vendor fair of more than 80 artisans and food trucks from around the country. After hours, we will be welcoming Johnnyswim and Jon Foreman for an evening of live music on the Silos stage.

All daytime events are open to the public and free of charge. However, you will need to purchase tickets for the after-hours concerts. Learn more about concert tickets below!

A little back story...

In 2014, Chip and Joanna Gaines took on their biggest Fixer Upper yet - transforming an abandoned cotton oil mill in downtown Waco into a retail shop, garden, food truck park and event space. Over a year later, risk turned into reward when we finally opened our doors at the Silos and hosted a grand opening celebration.

Dubbed “Silobration”, our 2015 grand opening has evolved into something more than we could have ever imagined. To us, Silobration is more than just an annual event, it’s a way to say thank you to the people who have made the Silos property what it is now - THAT’S YOU!

Do I need concert tickets to enter the Silos Grounds during normal business hours?

No, you will not need concert tickets to enter our daytime events. Entry will be free of charge during the normal business hours (listed above).

Do I need concert tickets to enter the Silos Grounds Friday and Saturday nights during the concert?

Yes, for the after hours concert, tickets will be required.

Will tickets be available for purchase at the door the night of the concert?

We do not anticipate concert tickets being available for purchase at the door.

Can I bring food and/or drinks onto the Silos grounds?

We ask that you do not bring outside food or drinks onto the Silos grounds. You may bring bottled water. Food trucks will be open for lunch and dinner.

In the event of inclement weather, can I bring an umbrella?

During normal business hours umbrellas will be allowed. During the after hours concert, we ask that no one bring umbrellas into the venue, so that everyone can easily view the stage. We do suggest bringing ponchos and rain boots in case of inclement weather.

What will the weather be like? How should I dress?

Dress very comfortably, and don’t forget your rain boots in the event of inclement weather. In Texas, October temperatures can range greatly. Be sure to check the weather forecast for Waco, Texas as you pack your bags!

I’m planning to stay the night. Do you suggest a place to stay?

If you’re planning to stay the weekend, we highly suggest booking a hotel room in advance, as hotels surrounding the Silos typically fill up quickly. The Hilton Waco, The Hotel Indigo and the Downtown-area Courtyard Marriot are all very close by. But any Waco-area hotel you find will be happy to give you an estimate as to how far they are from the Silos. Most will be less than ten minutes away.

Will there be a meet and greet with Chip and Jo?

There will not be an official meet and greet with Chip and Jo during Silobration weekend. They will, however, be part of the production up on stage at the after hours concert!

Does Waco have an airport?

Yes! Oftentimes flying into the Waco Regional Airport requires a connecting flight from another larger Texas airport, such as Dallas Fort Worth. Since Waco is central to Dallas and Austin, another option is to fly into DFW or Austin-Bergstrom and rent a car. Waco is approximately a 2 hour drive from both Austin and Dallas.

What else should we do while we’re in town?

There are plenty of fun places to eat, shop, and explore while visiting Waco. Check out our “Around Waco” tab above to plan your trip!

What should I expect with parking?

More information on event parking will be available closer to the event. The free Silo District Trolley will be the easiest way for you to get to and from the Silos. To learn where to park and for more information, click here. We do suggest you carpool if you are able. Note that a few of our neighbors have parking lots available, but they may charge. The lots that charge to park are not affiliated with Magnolia. Another idea for getting to the Silos is to download the Uber app on your phone and catch a ride to the Silos.

Are there handicapped parking spots available at the Silos?

Yes, we are equipped to facilitate handicapped parking during the event.

What time will the after hours concert event end?

The concert event should end around 10 o’clock p.m. The grounds will close when the concert is over.

What is the concert ticket refund policy?

We will be unable to offer refunds for concert tickets purchased. You may, however, transfer your tickets to a family member or a friend.

If I’m planning to go to the concert, do my kids need tickets?

Children, age 3 and under, will NOT be required to have a ticket to enter the after-hours concert. But, again, tickets will NOT be required for daytime activities.

Do I need to bring cash?

The Market, the Bakery, the Seed + Supply garden shop, and the food trucks accept all major credit cards. You may want to bring cash if you are planning to shop at the vendor fair, as each different vendor may or may not accept cards.

Will the store be open after hours at the concert event?

Yes, the Market will reopen for concert guests to shop when the grounds re-open. You will be required to have a concert ticket to enter the Market after hours.

Will the daytime and nighttime events happen rain or shine?

Unless the weather is considered dangerous to our guests, we will continue with all scheduled events rain or shine.

Should we bring lawn chairs? Are strollers allowed?

We will not allow lawnchairs onto the Silos grounds. The after hours concert will be a standing event, but picnic tables will be available if guests need to sit down. Wheelchairs and strollers will be allowed onto the Silos grounds at all times, and ramps and elevators will be accessible to all who need them.

Additional need-to-knows

  • All bags will be subject to search at the door.
  • We will have security present at all times during the day and into the evening concert.
  • This is an alcohol, drug and smoke free venue.
  • No pets allowed during the after-hours concert.

Free Parking At McLane Stadium

For your convenience, free parking is located at McLane Stadium with a free trolley service that will be running to and from the Silos all day. McLane Stadium is located at 1001 S M.L.K. Jr Blvd.

For directions to McLane Stadium, click here.

Free Parking Downtown

We expect downtown parking to be limited during Silobration weekend. Because of the vendor fair, several streets around the Silos will be closed. Webster Avenue will be closed from the 500 block to South 8th Street, Jackson Avenue will be closed from South 6th Street to South 8th Street, and South 6th Street will be closed from Jackson to Clay. Street parking is free when available, but we recommend using the shuttle service from McLane Stadium – it will be far easier to navigate to and from.
