The Royal Oaks Story

Chip and Joanna were thrilled to complete this Fixer Upper for a young growing family. The clients found a small ranch style house that needed updates and a more open floor plan. Joanna enjoyed personalizing the space for her client with fun pops of color. She also freshened up their old built-ins by using a darker grey; a simple fix to outdated built-ins.

This fireplace surround needed an update so Joanna bought inexpensive brick pavers and had them installed in unique pattern to add interest. She had them painted white and then finished it off with a natural gray grout.
The existing fireplace mantle was seriously dated so Joanna had her carpenter build a cedar mantle to replace the old one. It cost under $250 for this simple update!
Where the existing stove was there used to be cabinets that blocked off the kitchen from the breakfast area. Joanna redesigned the space to have a more open feel and also added an island to really anchor the kitchen. The client wanted a kid friendly space more than she wanted an informal breakfast nook so Joanna put this kids table and bench in the room for the littles. If you want a similar kids dining table, please contact Harp Design Co.

*We apologize for the lack of photos on this page! Because of the tight schedule for the project and the show, we were unable to have a photographer take photos of the house. We hope to find and post more soon!

I would also love to know the colors on the exterior of this house. I am thinking of using Sherwin Williams Elusive green and Peppercorn.

What range did you use with no overhead hood?

I love these colors and want to use them on my new house! Can you please tell me the colors of paint for the house and the door?

I wonder if the color is Sherwyn Williams oyster bay or maybe Benjamin Moore wedgewood gray? Inquiring minds would love to know!

I need to know this! I have been searching and Sherwin-Williams has a illusive green, but I really can't tell if it's the same.
