Episode 08 - The McCall Story

November 11, 2015

Chip and Joanna were honored to renovate this home for their friends, the McCall’s. Several years ago Dr. Tim and his wife Janice sold their 4,000 square foot home and felt called to do work in Uganda in 2005. They founded an organization called Restoration Gateway which includes orphan care, healthcare, and vocational and ministry training. Like Chip and Jo, Tim and Janice are both passionate about restoration and their vision is to see both physical and spiritual transformation in Northern Uganda. They are committed to the long-term health of this area and people and hope to not only provide education, homes and health to those in need, but to create a training center for medical personnel, pastors and professionals. If you’d like to give towards this organization or sponsor a child, please click here.

Tim and Janice come to the states twice a year, and hoped to find a home to stay in on their trips back. In Uganda the McCall’s live in a shipping container, so Chip and Joanna wanted to create an environment that felt like home with enough space for them to retreat in and get filled before continuing their ministry overseas. The community in Waco rallied around the McCall’s and donated thousands of dollars to this 800 square ft home. Because the house was small, Joanna wanted to open up walls and build an addition with a master bedroom and bath. The result of the project was a beautiful cozy home perfect for a much deserving couple.

Please start selling the season sets of the show or sell them by episodes so people can have their favorites. Everytime I'm on this site the pics have been cut more where you see less and less...very frustrating.
