Bakery's First Birthday

August 10, 2017

Happy Birthday Silos Baking Co!

At the end of June, we celebrated one full year of fresh baked cupcakes, and we couldn’t have had more fun doing it! To really make the occasion known, we adorned our little black and white bakery with a wave of colorful balloons. Our bakers got creative in the kitchen by developing a BIRTHDAY CAKE flavor that we served that day only – and it was a hit. So much so that we might be making it a permanent addition to the menu!

Our team spent so much time on all the little details of this fun celebration. Blowing up countless balloons, assembling the balloon arch, making banners and building a photo booth backdrop – we pulled out all the stops for this party. One of our Silobration vendors (hello maypole) even pitched in to make custom matching party hats for our bakery staff to wear.

Not only were we celebrating the sweet little bakery that was once a dream of Joanna’s, but more importantly, it was an opportunity to celebrate our amazing bakery staff! This crew is up before the sun every day to keep this place pumping out enough pastries and cupcakes for all of our guests. We are so excited for all of the growth our little Silos Baking Co. has already seen in the past twelve months and are anxious to see what this next year has in store – keep it up bakery team!

Bakery's Birthday

For those of you that were able to make it out to the party, it was so fun to see all of your photos from this day! And we hope you enjoyed the delicious birthday cake cupcake as much as we did. Thank you so much for stopping by and celebrating with us – we absolutely do not take it lightly that you all choose to spend your time here in Waco. Y’all are the heart and reason behind Silos Baking Co., and sharing the past year with all of you has been such a treat.

Did you make it to Silos Baking Co.’s birthday party? Comment below if you were there! If you didn’t make it, but you’ve visited, we want to know your favorite cupcake on the menu.

I’m going to be honest with you and say that you and Chip have set the standard of home improvement shows so high and the quality of what I expect from this kind of show, that I don’t know if anyone can ever attain it again! I cried when I heard that you were not going to continue, but I understand your reasons! Family comes first, but you two have included me in that family. Watching your children grow up on the farm with the values you’ve instilled in them, warms my heart with love and hope for our future generations! You two are good people!! But you are going to be missed! Stay true to you and yours!

I'm sure they are all wonderful and I'm sure I'll get in one day to try them. I brought some people from MA last Christmas, but it was way busy at the bakery. Since I live fairly close, when I go into town I check it out. Always long lines and I have back problems so I just ride on. One day, there will be a short line and I'll stop. I will let you know which ones I like😀

After years of watching you two create homes that are not only beautiful but functional. I want to say the best part of your show besides the design is the way your love for each other, your family and your work shines! We have just remodeled our kitchen/dining and family room, even with the use of a contractor it was the most stressful experience ever, was supposed to be done in 10 weeks, began on May 31 st, it's still not done today's date September 30th, Ugg. It is looking how I had hoped! Thanks for all the wonderful design tips!
